I've been trying really hard lately to keep my house in order. I am still working the Flylady program (which is the greatest thing ever) and she encourages us to find things to decorate our spaces with things we love. I have hated my kitchen for a while because it's ugly and small, etc...but when I keep it clean it looks A LOT better. One of my biggest pet peaves is that I stand over my sink for what seems like all day (washing, rewashing...etc.) and I stare at a blank wall. I've always wanted a window over the sink but, alas, I do not have one. Yesterday I found these wallpaper sticky things that just stick on the wall and they look like murals. I got one and put it over my sink and it just makes the whole kitchen so much nicer and it gives me something other than white walls to look at! I thought it looked so pretty I took a photo to share with you. Here's my SHINY SINK!
And I walked down to my bedroom and had to snap a photo of my shiny sink in there....my nicely made bed. Mom, did you ever think you'd see the day where my bed got made everyday...by me???

I'm so proud of you! The kitchen looks great. and your bed looks great. I've been doing the bed thing every day too and I love it. So much nicer to have your bed made all the time. As for the olsen twins, that picture does look like veronica--and like you when you were little. I'm sure Veronica will turn out MUCH better than either one of the them. I think they're both disasters.
A made bed is a must over here. It's the only way I feel I got anything done... even if I didn't.
And yes, I am at the kitchen sink ALL.DAY.LONG. I agree that looking at yummy bottles of wine would make it much more bearable. ;)
I love it. The Fly lady accomplished in a couple months what I tried to do in 20 years! I would love to know her secret!
